Event description

Description

Life... can be hectic, with an overload of digital frequencies coming at us through technology, social media and our phones. This can deplete us and even cost us real connection with one another and ourselves. Human connection and good vibrations are an essential part of the foundation needed for a balanced healthy life. Sound Therapy can help.

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound Therapy is an eclectic mixture of ancient practises and current scientific discovery, that has come together to form a wonderful new healing modality. The power of sound works with vibration to help bring healing, rest, and regulation to our nervous system. By using the human voice, and vibration created by Quartz bowls, which have properties similar to human bone, and adding the power of intention, we can tune-in to our selves, re-connect and rest.

Who can benefit from Sound Therapy?

Everyone can benefit! It can be helpful in multiple situations, but has been found especially useful for those suffering from anxiety, past trauma, ptsd, and dis-regulation to safely release negative energy trapped in the body. Sound sessions can also help provide a safe space to process loss and to work through life’s transitions. It can also be used to empower, strengthen and build you up. As well, it is a great compliment to other therapies and meditative practices, such as yoga, and mindfulness.

What happens in a Sound Bath?

Participants bring their own yoga mat and blanket/pillow. Doors open at 7pm. This will give you time to get settled before we start at 7:30pm. We ask for quiet as you enter the space, and take this time to consider your intention. You are encouraged to either lay down, or remain seated, in a comfortable position. At any point in the sound bath, you are welcome to adjust yourself so that you are comfortable. All there is to do now, is relax and let the sound waves take you on a meditative journey.

By around 8:40, the sound bath will be over, and a brief time of sharing takes place. Sharing is optional, and lasts about 10 minutes. We ask that this time of sharing be for expressing your personal experience and or feelings. Any remaining questions about the nature of this work, instruments, or my experience, may be reserved for after when I will be around to answer any questions you may have. We also request that if you have a cough that you choose to rest at home. Thank you.

(water, and handmade salt baths are available for an extra cost, to take home with you. Bring a friend/s and receive a complimentary salt bath, as my thanks to you. These salts are made with organic chamomile, roses, lavender, essential oils, and love:))

During these dark days of winter, take time to unplug, tune-in and re-connect.

To your good health, and good vibrations!
