Description
Engaging with Scripture is critical in the spiritual formation of the believer. If the Word of God is a “lamp unto our feet” (Psalm 119:105), what does that mean for each one of us personally? This module is designed to help people grow from knowing something of God to experiencing Him personally as we engage with His written Word. We will spend time learning about and experiencing some ancient Christian practices and principles such as: formational silence; lectio divina; gospel contemplation and meditation.
Learning Outcomes:
- Appreciating how the Word functions in our lives
- Understanding the difference between head and heart knowledge of God
- Experiencing some ancient Christian practices
- Exploring a personal engagement with Scripture
