About this event
Building off the success of our article on Mental WellBeing, Works For Women has curated a number of local leaders from the Edmonton community to share their stories of mental wellbeing. The event will provide you with an opportunity to hear unique leadership stories, network and hear and discuss why mental health is such an important factor in your own success. You will have an opportunity to hear stories from our leaders, engage in dialogue and begin to develop your own strategy for combating this very real challenge in our work environments.
The following leaders will be sharing their stories of mental wellbeing with us:
- Shirley Benson (Retired District Fire Chief, 2nd Canadian Female Fire Fighter)
- Michael Cameron (Speaker | Writer | Consultant Specializing in Emotional Reconnection Practice & Leadership)
- John Dowds (Lead Chaplain, Senior Mental Health Consultant at City of Edmonton)
- Blake Loates (Founder, We All Believe In You)
- Marcela Mandeville (CEO, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs)
- Marianne Ryan (Alberta Ombudsman, Former Commanding Officer of RCMP)
- Erin Waugh (Lead Diversity & Inclusion Consultant at NorQuest College's Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership)
- Christine Westerlund (Senior Operating Officer at Stollery Children's Hospital)
The event will start at 4:30 with registration & networking occurring from 4:00-4:30. Light refreshments will be provided at the event. Parking details can be found here.
