A fan favourite at O-YA's Summer Block Party is always our Baking Contest. Volunteer bakers (Could you be one of them? It's easy and free to sign up!) make a batch of baking following each year's theme. Then, all the baking is presented under our Contest Tent during the Block Party. Block Party participants and Guest Judges taste the baking and then winners are announced in 2 categories: Village Vote and Judge's Choice.
This year's Baking Contest theme is 'Hay bales'! What does this mean? We want to see your best Rice Krispy Square recipe. Classic, flavoured or with add ins! For all the details, and to sign up as a volunteer baker, please see below.
Enter in 4 easy steps:

- Create your best Rice Krispy Squares. Classic, flavoured or with add ins, we want to see the best of the best!
- Bring your finished baking to O-YA on Saturday, June 8 no later than 11 am. Please display your baking on a tray for viewing / sampling. Please
pre-cut into 100 small samples for the community vote and guest judge! - Create and bring a card with your baking name and description on a paper measuring 4" x 6" (be creative!)
