Experience the fun and adventure of summer at TVCC!

Youth will enjoy a week of classic summer camp activities tailored for youth with disabilities. Our half-day camp promises a delightful blend of therapeutic and social fun, all designed to help campers experience the joy of shared experiences and meaningful connections with their peers!

Each day will include:

-Creative activities such as arts and crafts, mindfulness, and musical expression.

-Physical activities such as boccia ball, yoga, leisure swim time, and active games.

-Social activities such as Lego, board games, fun games, and ice cream social.

At the heart of this week-long adventure is a focus on promoting wellness and personal growth through therapeutic activitied led by TVCC staff and community facilitators.

Our carefully crafted activities aim to build confidence, nurture social skills, and spark new interests in each youth. With a focus on inclusivity, our camp creates a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Through this program, youth will:

-Meet and interact with other TVCC youth

-Increase physical literacy skills through physical activity

-Learn creative expression and self awareness skills

-Build upon existing social skills through connection with peers and social activities

Participant Criteria:

-TVCC clients ages 12+ or eligible to register as a client

-Interest and willingness to participate in social and group activities

-Able to participate safely in group activities; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them

-Able to follow along with a group with or without accommodations

This program is hosted by TVCC's Horizons Youth Services Team and TVCC's Wellness Project. The Wellness Project which is a three-year program aimed at rebuilding and enhancing mental wellness for youth and their families. Over the next few years, we'll be running programs with a focus on connection, mindfulness, physical activity, and new skills.
