- Are you a shower singer, car singer, or maybe you can't help but belt out those Frozen or Encanto tunes with your kids? 🎤
- Are you someone who used to sing at some point in your life and you want to rekindle that passion? 🎶
- Or are you someone who sings currently and are looking for a fresh new community to share your passion with, or a new singing style to grow your skills? 🎵
- Or have you always wanted to try singing, but you have never done anything like this before? 👀
Whether you sing high, or low, or anywhere between, we want to hear from you! Our chorus is seeking new female or non-binary treble singers to join us!
We will share with you what barbershop a cappella singing is all about, and teach you a bit about each of the four parts. We will demonstrate a few songs for you as an audience member, and then you’ll be welcomed to join us on the risers beside our members (newly minted "Master Singers", by the way!) to hear what it sounds like from that perspective! Hear how we break down and learn songs. You can even dip your toe into barbershop with some very simple and easy to learn songs, where you can play with trying one or more of our four parts! If you’re interested, one of our experts will be available to take you aside to “voice place” you - they will let you know which of the four parts is best suited for your voice.
And finally, you will hear what has been happening with Alberta Northern Lights Chorus over the last year or two, and what is next for us - we are up to very exciting things! You can decide whether it’s a fit for you with absolutely no pressure - or just treat it as a fun night out!
