About this event

Session 1: This first Visibility and Awareness Session will focus on the first of the three key components (Visibility and Awareness, Security and Integration) of the GOC’s Endpoint Visibility, Awareness and Security (EVAS) project.

Visibility refers to the ability to detect and identify devices connected to the Government of Canada (GoC) Network. Awareness is the ability to assess the hardware, software and configurations of each of these devices. Currently, the GoC and partner departments have different technologies that deliver on some of these capabilities, however there is no GoC wide view.

In this session, you will see how the GoC can have enterprise wide visibility and awareness in real time. The Immediacy of data and Immediacy of action. We will demonstrate how a single solution can be used across the GoC, partner departments, as well as GoC wide with different levels of access control. Furthermore, that technology used to provide GoC wide Visibility and Awareness will also make that rich and accurate data available to other technologies to provide further value.

This demonstration will cover:

  • Complete visibility into the assets that must be protected
  • Central repository for data from all partner departments, networks and devices
  • Unified system for endpoint security and visibility across SSC/GoC, leaving a consistent level of visibility and security for the enterprise
  • Immediacy of data from scans which identify suggested patch and remediation activities with the ability to take action enterprise wide (with tracking capabilities)
  • Enterprise management, reporting or configuration functionality
  • Ability to report detailed information regarding the current state of each endpoint device (e.g. application and OS details, running processes, active connections, hardware details, user access)
  • Standard set of security modules deployed across GoC to meet GoC policy requirements
  • Ability to work in a multi-tenancy environment

ipss and Tanium are pleased to announce that we will be donating $25 for every attendee to the Ottawa Food Bank in response to COVID-19.
