We can’t wait to welcome you to campus May 3 to 5, 2024 in beautiful Victoria, BC. Join us for three days of inspiration and connection at Royal Roads University’s inaugural Alumni Weekend, featuring TEDxRRU and keynote speaker, author John Vaillant.
Whether you graduated recently or years ago, we welcome you to reconnect with old friends, expand your network, and make new RRU memories. This weekend promises to be a memorable experience where you can expect thought-provoking talks, engaging panel discussions, and interactive activities.
Separate ticket purchases are required for TEDxRRU and Alumni Weekend.

Join us for alumni-exclusive workshops and guided tours, enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch, and hear from special guest keynote John Vaillant and other alumni thought leaders at our Changemaker Salon, before retiring for cocktails at Hatley Castle. Frequently asked questions
Doors open from 5:30pm, with the first talk starting at 6:00pm. We highly recommend giving yourself ample time for arrival and parking as our parking is limited and our campus is quite large. If arriving after 6:00pm, the doors will remain closed to the auditorium until a break in between speakers.
There are a number of paid parking lots on campus. Limited golf cart shuttles will be available to assist attendees but please allow ample time to arrive and walk to the events location. For parking locations and rates please refer to, https://www.royalroads.ca/parking
Royal Roads University is located near a number of great accommodations including; Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Solo Suites, Four Points by Sheraton & Westin Bear Mountain. Limited on campus accommodation is also available for RRU alumni. Please contact Alumni.Relations@RoyalRoads.ca for more info.
There will be a limited number of wheelchair accessible seats located in the Dogwood Auditorium for the TEDxRRU event and all Alumni Weekend experiences are wheelchair accessible. Live closed captioning will also be available for speaker presentations and panel discussions.
While our ticket prices are set to cover the costs of delivering a high-quality and memorable experience, we are able to offer a number of discounted tickets for RRU alumni. If you are an RRU alumni and have not received a discount code, please contact Alumni.Relations@RoyalRoads.ca
May 3, TEDxRRU tickets will be first offered to the RRU university community and all alumni before being released to the general public. You must be an RRU Alumni or guest of an RRU Alumni to attend the RRU Alumni Weekend celebrations May 4 - 5.
We're always on the lookout for dynamic speakers with compelling changemaking ideas to share. If you or someone you know has an idea worth spreading, we would encourage you to fill out our speaker application form on the website. The application for 2025 will open early in the new year.
We do not anticipate the same challenge of rapidly selling out that we experienced last year, as we have increased the audience size. Tickets will be released to Alumni and the RRU University community first, before opening to the public. Once sold-out, a waitlist will be available here.
