Description

~~As featured on CBC's The Early Edition, CUTV, and Global News... here comes THE ANXIETY SHOW OCTOBER - F** BODY SHAMING!

It's BAAAA-YAAACK!!!!

Due to the OVERWHELMING success of our inaugural The Anxiety Show in 2017, we are kicking off our 2019/2020 regular season with Episode 14: F*$% Body Shaming!!!

Porker. Dog. The Big Kahuna. Are these cool things in the world or names Megan was called as a kid? Both! If you think we don't live in a time where the President-Elect of the United States called one of the most beautiful women in the world Miss Piggy, we probably don't live in the same time! Our society's F***k'd up, most of us are f**k'd up because of it, and there's not much we can do.

Oh well!

Some people grew up with healthy boundaries, emotional self-regulation, and balanced communication. They know how to keep an even keel in the face of everyday situations, and make sound decisions firmly and consistently.

This show is not for those people.

Welcome to THE ANXIETY SHOW! A variety alt-comedy show featuring booked comedians and OPEN MIC participants sharing FIRSTHAND experience with a different issue every episode. Because better out than in AMIRITE? The show has toured Montreal, Chicago, and Toronto, and is now MONTHLY in Vancouver! If it's gonna suck, it might as well suck with others. Come get dark with us - we have cookies.

We're starting our 2019/2020 regular season with a BANG - Because F>>> Body Shaming amirite?!
Lineup TBD.

Show at 8pm sharp, but get there early and order some grub.

Tickets are by donation. Got $20? Pay $20. Got $3000? Pay $3000. Got 50 cents? Keep it and come anyway. We love you!

*10% of all proceeds go to Crisis Centre BC

**We wish to acknowledge this is taking place on the traditional and unceded Aboriginal territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.

The Anxiety Show is dedicated to the memory of Haigan Day.
