The Definitive:

The Definitive is an all Canadian rock band formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 2023. The group's unique blend of Evan Burns’ progressive slap bass lines, Dylan Jones’ classic rock-inspired guitar riffs, Vaughan Xavier’s in-your-face funky drum grooves and the sweet memorable vocal hooks of Duke Domino, has garnered them a reputation for exploring uncharted sonic territory – creating a sound the band call Northern Rock. Following the release of their debut album WORLDS AWAY, they have cemented their reputation as an incredibly energetic and fresh live act, playing shows and festivals across Western Canada. Amidst the chaos The Definitive continue to dive deeper into their sound, exploring new ideas and capitalizing on the magic of those first jam sessions

Face the Earth has been making waves as an independent group in the rock music scene with their explosive energetic and memorable performances, captivating music videos, and loyal fan base. Since their formation back in late 2019, they have shared the stage with some well known names in Canadian rock music, and have gained critical acclaim for their unique sound and style.

These young men all come from a past playing heavier music, which tends to bleed into the compositions of this new endeavour. This cross over effect results in a sound reminiscent of bands like Brand New, Death Cab For Cutie and Bloc Party.
