St James’ Anglican Church welcomes back The Gesualdo Six !
The Gesualdo Six performed at St James' in 2018 when they started their first Canadian tour in Vancouver, and we are very pleased indeed to welcome this internationally-acclaimed ensemble back to Vancouver to present a program of English music on their North American tour.
Their Canadian debut five years ago at St James' was glorious ( read a review here ). For their 2023 performance in Vancouver, entitled Lux Aeterna, will include music by Cristóbal de Morales, Josquin des Prez, William Byrd, Howard Skempton, Donna McKevitt, Eleanor Daley, John Tavener, and Richard Rodney Bennett.
Their 2018 concert at St James’ was a sold-out event, and we expect the same this year.
