Description

Join Brian McConaghy, Ratanak International’s Founding Director, on Friday, September 22 to learn about Cambodia and the long journey to combat human trafficking.

Ratanak’s work in Cambodia started over 27 years ago with health care, education, and development. Today our work has shifted to focus on human trafficking and exploitation issues, but our heart remains the same – to see hope and transformation in the lives of vulnerable people.

Come to hear the story of this long road, about the shifting scope of human trafficking today, and Ratanak’s newest projects to build rice mills and border migration projects to protect some of Cambodia's most vulnerable people.

Ratanak means “precious jewel” in the Khmer language, befitting of how we view Cambodia and her people. The vision and mission of Ratanak is to see transformation in Cambodia by empowering exploited people and addressing the systems that exploit them.

We believe the key to ending exploitation is to empower Cambodians to be agents of change, and work together to confront systems that exploit the vulnerable. We walk with survivors on their journey from exploitation to freedom and hope, showing them the same love Jesus shows us.

Equip Cambodians to PREVENT exploitation.

Work collaboratively to PROTECT the vulnerable.

Help the trafficked RETURN home.

Persevere in love to RESTORE survivors.
