THE ONCE:

Newfoundland has a storied history of stunning songwriters, poets, and players. Over the course of the last decade The Once have writ and knit themselves into that story.

Within the nine songs on their new album Time Enough, The Once offer some of the most vulnerable and honest material of their career. The up-tempo album opener, “I Can’t Live Without You,” reflects on women battling with self-image issues and offers wisened words to be the positive change in their own lives. The gritty guitar driven “Before The Fall” succumbs to the notion that we must accept our past and use those memories to grow. Riff rocker “Any Other Way” reflects the fact that true love accepts us at our worst but insists we do the work to be our best selves to keep it together.

On this, their fourth studio album, the band stays true to the root strength of their harmony driven sound, while extending the borders into fresh yet familiar territory. They craft a sonically understated, but emotionally fulsome sound that accomplishes what they've always done so well: stun listeners with what Amelia Curran calls "perfect vocal harmonies, thick enough to stand on."

CABIN FEVER:
Desperately yearning for their Northern roots, this southwestern Ontario alternative folk/roots trio often finds themselves pining over poplars and birch. They plant these feelings in a forest of incandescent guitar, heart-pounding upright bass, restless mandolin, and howling vocals that will speak to the hearts of all who stop to listen. Through happenstance and sharing tales of their respective journeys living amongst the forests and lakes of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, and Muskoka, Ontario, Cabin Fever was formed around a campfire in the unlikely locale of Camlachie, Ontario, next to the sparkling and unpredictable blue waters of Lake Huron.

Known for captivatingly tight harmonies, Jess, Kyle, and Colin showcase compelling style and versatility from the festival stage to intimate house concerts and the spaces in between. They have a unique ability to spin performances that are tactfully rugged yet wistful and alluring as they draw in their audiences with dynamic storytelling through song and quick-witted banter. Notable performances have included The Napatāk Ramble Music & Arts Festival - Potato Lake, SK (Main Stage); Aeolian Hall - London, ON (Summer Lounge Series); The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts - Sarnia, ON (Feature House Concert); Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts - Parry Sound/Muskoka, ON (Canada Day Weekend Celebrations), and performing a private concert and recording session at The Oak & Evergreen Cabin just outside Sarnia, ON.

Come along as Cabin Fever takes you from a meandering paddle across a lake of glass to the thundering of the herds crossing the Great Plains. Settle in with a cup of cocoa (or something a little stronger) and sit around the fire as Cabin Fever warms your soul and rekindles your wanderlust.
