About the Presenter
Earl MacLeod, CPA, CA
Earl is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP in Halifax. Earl draws on more than 20 years of experience to deliver tax advice and solutions to owner-managed businesses in a wide range of industries, with the goal of helping them manage their operations while minimizing tax liabilities. Earl helps with planning and compliance matters related to corporate, personal and trust income tax returns as well as assisting with U.S. tax compliance.
He helps individuals and corporations with international tax advice on how to most effectively manage cross-border tax issues and assists in negotiations with the Canada Revenue Agency on various audit issues. Earl’s clients rely on him to understand the income tax implications of selling or acquiring businesses, using the capital gains exemption and using holding companies and family trusts.
