Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
Mary Oliver ‘The Summer Day’

If you’re a lifelong explorer, asking deeper questions, and who’s longing for devoted time to rest, clear your mind, renew yourself and rediscover your calling, you are invited to join us!

We invite you into a caring and inspiring community for seven days and nights of peaceful and powerful discovery in the wild beauty of the Algarve, Portugal. You’ll have the creative space to play, heal, practice yoga, meditate, swim, reflect and recreate yourself: to fully prepare you to embrace an active and vibrant Third Act of life.

The Third Act is one way to describe an adult stage of vitality and new questions: as the experiences of childhood, young and mid-adulthood have now passed. It is deeper dive into awareness, meaning, purpose and reclaiming more of who we are. You are invited to join us at Wild View to indeed 're-wild' your authentic self!

What will it be like? A s you arrive that first afternoon for the retreat, you immediately notice the stunning undisturbed panorama from your sun-washed room. The gentle foothills of the Algarve merge into the fading light of sunset. You slip down to the pool to swim and settle into this spacious time for rest and recharge. As you enter the inviting dining room, a beautiful dinner is prepared for you. As you taste the flavors and hues of Portuguese cooking, inspired by nutritious choices, you listen to the first stories from other participants. You realize you have found yourself in a loving community of friends and that you are in good hands. You are aware that you have entered into a sacred time where something of deep meaning will visit and guide you. This awareness accompanies you into deep sleep and continues as the sunrise invites you to our first full day of adventure.

This retreat experience is for you if you are longing for:

  • a renewal of spark, hope and strength;
  • a greater peace of mind, focus and compassion;
  • access to the source of your inner guidance and direction;
  • a renewed awareness on your life's purpose and what you offer in this Third Act;
  • a welcoming community of friends who share values and hopes;
  • new responses arising from within you to your burning questions;
  • relationships that will last far beyond the retreat.

Even before you board the plane to join us, you'll start making connections. We'll hold a group session in the weeks before we arrive to meet each other, help you prepare for the journey and ensure you get the most out of your experience.

How might we sum it up? At the end of seven days, Robyn and Dan offer an experience where you'll feel equipped with renewed guidance to navigate the decisions ahead, and know you are empowered to live your wild and precious life. All of this will be gained within a safe community of fellow pilgrims bound together by generosity and mutual care.

We will also play and share in some great adventures! We are planning a traditional Portuguese cuisine cooking class, a local wine tour, and even a salt and mud bath! As well, we will have e-bikes available for one of our days (or more!) for those who want to explore the foothills surrounding Wild View or enjoy a trip into town.

Please register soon as we have limited space!

More About W ild View Retreat:

Wild View Retreat has arisen from the ruins of an abandoned mountain village of Corgas Bravas, in the foothills of the Algarve in Portugal. Originally built by a Portuguese Army General in 1898, the ‘Manor House’ and surrounding ruins have undergone a 2 year restoration and redevelopment project, transforming the iconic setting into a wellness retreat.

It is defined by its spectacular uninterrupted 360° views of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains, a Zona De Intervenção Florestal protected for its natural beauty and famous Portuguese cortiça (cork) trees. There are no cars, no roads, no buildings, no neighbors. Nothing but wilderness and nature. Nothing to hear but the birds and the wind. Nothing to do but restore and relax the body, mind and soul.
