Therapeutic Apologies are one of the most powerful interventions used in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy. They can be integrated and delivered in the context of co-parenting and family-oriented therapies, as well as in the context of individual therapy.
The training will introduce the "standard" EFFT apology with a particular focus on its application between parent and child (of any age) and between co-parents, including in the context of separation/divorce. Likely outcomes include: strengthening relationships, releasing self/other-blame for all involved, and evolving the emotional climate of the family.
A worksheet, client script and clinician script to support the interventions will be reviewed and shared with participants. Video demonstrations and opportunities for practice may be available, time permitting.
No prior training required. Participation can be active or passive. This training meets criteria towards certification through the International Institute for EFFT. Videos may be included and therefore this training will not be recorded.
Please note: Registration or ticket purchases through Eventbrite are not recognized for this event. Kindly register via the provided link below. Tickets bought through Eventbrite will not be honored. Thank you for your cooperation
