This is Impact - Toronto Alumni Reception

There’s no place like home – and that is why we’re bringing York to you with the Toronto Alumni Reception. On November 10 we have an exciting lineup of speakers who will inform, engage, and inspire you.

The evening will be an opportunity to relive the days of York and reconnect alongside old friends and new ones. You’ll have the chance to hear from York President and Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri on the incredible changes that have been taking place at the University. You’ll also learn about York’s most ambitious campaign yet and ways you can get involved!

We’re also very excited to have alumnus Karl Subban (BEd ’90) speak at the reception. A natural storyteller, Subban is a former school principal in one of Toronto’s toughest neighbourhoods, and the father of five children - including three NHL players. He's dedicated his life to helping others reach their potential—to be better at their careers and better as people. His gregarious, powerful talks explore teamwork and leadership, and offer a fresh take on what it means to succeed.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

If traveling using transit, the closest subway station is Dundas station.

If traveling by car, there are many green P parking lots in the area. Please click on the mode of transportation below the map which will launch Google Maps to plot your course.

Can I update my registration information?

You may login to your Eventbrite profile at anytime to update your personal or guest information

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is business casual.

Do I have to bring my confirmation to the event?

If you have purchased tickets and have received the confirmation via email, we will have you registered and there is no need to bring proof of your purchase.

Are tickets refundable?

Unfortunately all tickets purchased for this event are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding.

Do you require the name of my guest?

We do ask that you provide the name of your guest to assist with the registration process. Guest names can be added and/or updated easilty through your login to your Eventbrite profile or by calling (416)736-2100 ext. 44693 or by emailing cromano@yorku.ca
