Meet our Panel of Speakers:

Bill Fox

Bill Fox is the Founder and CEO of FoxNet Inc., established in 2002. He specializes in information technology and business management. Bill is a sports enthusiast who does not hesitate to leave a trail of Montreal Canadiens memorabilia wherever he goes. Dedicated to his FoxNet team and to his clients, his focus on finding creative IT solutions has helped FoxNet become one of Canada’s top 100 IT solution providers. FoxNet has provided IT solutions for small to large enterprises over the past nineteen years. Bill ensures his company is agile and adapts to changes in the rapidly-evolving world of technology. Before FoxNet, Bill held sales executive roles for Hewlett Packard and Oracle.

Bill earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. He has previously volunteered with Junior Achievement of Waterloo Region’s Board of Directors for over five years. FoxNet has proudly raised money for KidsAbility, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region, Women’s Crisis Services, and the Sexual Assault Support Centre.

John Svazic

John has been in the IT field for over 25 years, with the past 11 years dedicated to Information Security. As the Founder & Principal Consultant at EliteSec Information Security Consultants, John has made it his mission to help other organizations navigate the complex river of cybersecurity. John’s done a lot, including being a podcast host, conference organizer, part-time professor, full-time father, and a lover of more hobbies than you can shake a stick at. John likes to talk and share what he knows with other people and loves to trade stories, so it’s always encouraged to sit down with him to chat, you won’t regret it.

Mark Sangster

Mark's experience unites a strong technical aptitude and an intuitive understanding of regulatory agencies. During his time at BlackBerry, Mark worked on the first secure devices for government agencies. Since then, he has continued to build mutually beneficial relationships with regulatory agencies in key sectors.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a Business Diploma from Humber College.

Martin Parrest

Martin Parrest has 30+ years of experience in the information technology field. Martin has global experience in executive roles to design, develop, implement and support software, infrastructures and network solutions. His experience allows him to provide proven strategic alignment of business, regulatory compliance and fiscal business initiatives to information technology solutions.
