Toronto Urban Work Summit 2024: Pitch Night

Youthful Cities is excited to host the Pitch Night, following the Urban Work Summit, where delegates present innovative solutions to tackle the gaps in the post-pandemic workforce to judges, sponsors, and Youthful Cities partners.

Witness young urban leaders share their ideas to tackle urban challenges, competing for up to $20,000 microgrants to support their involvement in the 6 to 8-week YC Skill-Up program. This initiative offers a structured platform for skill enhancement, enabling recipients to kickstart and sustain their impactful projects.

The event, brimming with excitement and entrepreneurial energy, will feature city leaders, a keynote speaker, and community organizations, all playing a vital role in the success of DEVlab and the Urban Work Summit.

Since 2012, Youthful Cities has designed programs that build a unique base of urban knowledge while engaging youth (15-29 years) to design and develop innovative solutions to their cities' critical issues. Through two global indexes, three Canadian Indexes and two global surveys we've measured infrastructure, cost of living, quality of life, access to education and everything in between. All of this has been done in order to understand how youth feel about the "youthfulness" of their cities, and which cities place the greatest emphasis on supporting young people and people who identify as "youthful". Our urban indexes ignite an important dialogue about the importance of youth to the future of cities. www.youthfulcities.com
