About this event

ElevateIP Alberta and Innovation Asset Collective (IAC) present Train the Trainer: Strategic IP Support & Growth, a workshop designed to equip coaches, advisors, mentors and EIRs, particularly those with limited experience in intellectual property (IP), with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist companies in utilizing IP effectively to grow and scale.

This half-day workshop is designed to introduce the building blocks of an IP strategy, alongside key indicators to be aware of when working with companies, enabling more focused and effective IP support.

Participants will gain online access to a suite of practical resources, including templates, checklists, and roadmaps, specifically curated for application with companies. The session aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively implement these resources in support of IP management and strategy.

After the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify potential IP assets within a company & document your findings
  • Assess the relevance & utility of a company's proposed IP activities, in the context of the ElevateIP Alberta program
  • Describe the methodology for evaluating a company's IP maturity
  • Utilize IAC online resources to support startups
