Applications for early career professionals (< 5 years of experience), graduate students, and undergraduates are now open from September 1st - 30th, 2023.

Mentorship Program highlights:

• Unique trio format (undergraduate + early-career professional/graduate student + experienced mentor)
• Three online events (about two hours each)
• Trios meet independently for an additional 6 hours
• Receive certificate when completing all 12 hours

Online events:

• October 26, 2023, 18:00-19:30 MST - Introduction event
• January 17, 2024, 18:00-19:30 MST - Professional development event, topic TBA
• April 4, 2024, 18:00-19:30 MST - Professional development closing event, topic TBA

*Optional: In-person mixer in Edmonton (not mandatory for program completion), will be held during the program based on participant availability.

Independent trio meetings: complete 4 hours by April 4, 2024

Application Fees:

• Mentors (Experienced Professionals who have ≥ 5 years of experience in their field) are exempt from this fee.
• Mentees (i.e. Early-Career Professionals, Graduate Students (Master's and PhDs), Post-docs, Professional Students and Undergraduate Students) pay a refundable $25.00 deposit.

Refund process:

• *Applicants who are accepted into the program will be refunded their monetary 25.00 deposit at the end of the program if they meet the minimum 4 hours and attend at least two out of three online events.
• Applicants who are not accepted into the program will be refunded their deposit within three weeks of notification of their status in the program.

Note: All applicants, except experienced mentors, need to pay a $25 deposit at the time of application. This amount is refundable upon completing the program.
