About "Nowhere to Hide": Join us to learn about the incredible journey of male nurse Nori Sharif through five years of dramatic change, providing unique access into one of the world’s most dangerous and inaccessible areas – the “triangle of death” in central Iraq. Initially filming stories of survivors, Nori becomes one of the few remaining hospital staff. When ISIS takes over his city in 2014, he too must flee with his family at a moment’s notice, and turns the camera on himself.
What will I gain? Attendants will learn from speakers about local work to support refugee claimants in Vancouver, and will receive a handout with actionable next-steps.
The journey isn't over when refugees arrive in Canada. Video about Kinbrace Canada: Click here to see Refugee Support in-action in Vancouver.
