Spinning off on our Axe-throwing events, we are offering a more relaxed version of our themed events. We use the term 'relaxed' lightly as we know how competitive some players can get!

Game-Night Date-Night Speed Dating Vancouver Events!

Greta Arcade Bar is Vancouver's most popular arcade bar, offering a wide variety of arcade and bar games; whether you're looking for something vintage or state-of-the-art, you're sure to find something up your alley! On the menu is locally-sourced street food inspired by culinary trends from around the world. With over 15 beers on tap and eclectic cocktail options, their drink menu is sure to please any palette.

This event will kick off with some fun ice breakers before leading into the speed dating portion and ending with a variety of games to continue the fun. You'll receive tokens from Greta to explore their collection of arcade and bar games. These games aren't limited to one-on-one scenarios; you can play as a group too. If bars aren't really your thing or you prefer an environment where alcohol doesn't feel as compulsory, then this event is for you. As with all Flare events, attendees are encouraged to keep the setting lighthearted and warm, so everyone feels the energy of the event.

Speed Dating Vancouver Events!

Here’s the run down of our in-person speed dating Vancouver events: After purchasing a ticket to an event, you’ll receive a confirmation email from our team once it has been processed. Keep an eye out on your inbox! On the day of the speed dating event, prepare your best outfit and talking points (remember, first impressions are key). Be prepared to arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the speed dating event begins. Our host will be there to check you in and provide you with a scorecard when you arrive. Feel free to take the first quarter of the event to sit back, relax, and mingle with the other guests. We encourage you to grab a drink at the bar at this time too (a little liquid confidence or refreshing beverage never hurts).

So…how does speed dating work?

Once everyone is in attendance and settled in, we like to start our Vancouver speed dating events with a little ice breaker game to warm everyone up. Perhaps a bit of trivia or a game of two truths and a lie? It’s important to us that no two events are alike and our team constantly tries new games and ice-breakers at every event.

After the ice breakers are finished, let’s start the speed dating! You’ll be seated in front of a potential match with 8 minutes to get to know one another. Feel free to talk about whatever you want, but we always recommend you keep it lighthearted and professional (don’t do anything we wouldn’t do). Once time is up, the ladies remain seated and the gents move down a spot and take a seat at the table of their next potential match.

Remember to take time at the start of each date to write down your dater’s name and, at the end, mark off if you felt it was a good match or not. Once you’ve spoken to everyone, that’s it, you’re done—great job! Make sure your scorecard is filled out correctly, hand it back to our host, and leave the rest to us.

However, just because the event is over doesn’t mean your night has to be! Feel free to stay for a drink (or two). Kick back, relax, and maybe chat further with some of the other daters from our speed dating event. Within 48 hours you will hear back from us via email with exciting news about your potential matches from our speed dating event.
