Join Jen on Friday December 4th as she guides you through a process to extract the maximum from your chicken or turkey. Using this method, you’ll end up with a rich and delicious poultry broth, perfect for sipping or as a great base for soups.
(If you have dogs, this recipe is particularly useful because you can mix the softened bones with rice and veggies and you’ll have a nutritionally dense wet food topper. Because the bones cook for 48 hrs (with some vinegar), they break down, soften, and dissolve so they won’t harm your pet. Please note that if you plan to do this, you may want to cut the amount of onion down to half).
The broth this creates is rich in nutrients, flavour, and goodness. It makes a great base for soups or enjoy sipping it in a mug on a cool day.
