Voices of the Street Literary Anthology Launch 2024

Join us May 17, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM, to celebrate the launch of Megaphone's 2024 and 14th annual Voices of the Street special literary edition Bread, Roses & Safe Supply at World Arts Centre, 149 West Hasting. This anthology features work from 29 writers based in the Downtown Eastside and a high amount of work this year comes from 4 workshops conducted in collaboration with Onsite writing facilitators.

The night will feature heartfelt stories, readings from a handful of Voices of the Street writers, insight from community photographers whose photos complement the writing and a special poetry reading from author and poet Isabella Wang.

Tickets are $12. Though the ticket prices help us cover costs for this project, it is important to us that income is not a barrier. If you'd like to attend and the cost is a barrier, please email communications@megaphonemagazine.com.
