Weekly Meditation Class at Toronto's Zen Buddhist Temple

Come enjoy a moment of tranquility and insight at our Zen temple!

E very Saturday, we host a weekly class for new and returning students. Beginners welcome!

The class starts at 5pm with a traditional Korean tea ceremony. Then meditation instruction is available for any students who would like it. We spend the rest of the class in sitting or walking meditation, and listening to a short dharma talk from one of our teachers. The class ends at 7pm.

I f you are curious about mindfulness or Buddhism, we want to give a calm, relaxed and friendly space to learn.

T he Awakened Meditation Centre is a Zen Buddhist organization practicing in the lineage of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Our abbot is Zen Master Greg Samuelson, who is assisted by Zen Master Chris Warren and Zen Master Matthew Sullivan. Our founding teacher is the Venerable Yangil Sunim.

The donation for a single class is $23 -- or the monthly membership is $50. All donations to the Temple are tax-deductible. Please contact us if you wish to attend but cannot afford the donation.

We are located at 134 Sixth Street, Etobicoke. Our temple is steps from the Queen Street Car line, and is also accessible from the Islington Subway Station via the 110 Islington South bus. A Green-P parking lot is directly across from us on 6th Street.
