Hosted by Liquidity and Okanagan College, this event will bring two of California's foremost experts in the field as keynote speakers on a host of relevant topics facing the industry.
MacNeil is the only American to have won every major wine award given in the English language. These include the Wine and Spirits Professional fo the Year (James Beard Foundation) and the Global Wine Communicator of the Year (International Wine and Spirits Association.)
In a full-page profile on her, TIME Magazine called MacNeil "America's Missionary of the Vine." But deep global wine knowledge is only part of the story. Karen is considered America's foremost wine presenter - a speaker who can enchant audiences from 5 - 500, and from wine novices to wine collectors alike.
MacNeil is the creator and Chairman Emeritus of the Rudd Center for Professional Wine Studies at the Culinary Institute of American in Napa Valley, which has been called "the Harvard of wine education."
Rob McMillan is the founder of Silicon Valley Bank's Wine Division based in Saint Helena, California. Starting in 1992, he developed the division from the idea and start-up phase to the point where it's now regarded by many as the leading provider of financial services to the fine wine business on the West Coast.
McMillan has published reports of varied and emerging trends to the wine industry over the past decade and is author of the bank's well regarded Annual State of the Wine Industry Report. His perspecitves regarding the direction, opportunities and threats in the fine wine business continue to be cited in regional, national and wine trade press.
