Description

With the warm weather approaching, we couldn’t be more excited about the amazing patio spaces at our newest location at 111 Peter Street! Spring in the city always ushers in a wave of creativity making it the perfect opportunity to throw a rooftop party with complimentary food and drinks, and feature local creative talent.

To tempt the tastebuds, we are thrilled to be hosting Burger Drops, a new pop up venture that's been hitting patios at The Broadview Hotel, Stackt Market and now Workplace One! Learn more about them here.

We are also featuring a beer and cider bar from our official beverage partner, Collective Arts Brewing. Get ready for a selection of flagship brews as well as some new seasonal releases!

If beer isn't your beverage of choice, grab a specialty gin and tonic using Collective Arts' new artisanal gin line from our cocktail station.

Last but not least, we will be featuring interactive art pieces throughout our space including works from local desingers and artists Kat Tapp, Sean Lewis, and Collective Arts' feature artist, Casey Shea who will be creating a new piece live at the event!

More about the artists:

Katherine Tapp:

Drift
Using video collected from across Canada, the designer projects an outside world in, by bringing far off spaces into one room. Drift is a immersive experience allowing the viewer to capture themselves with the projections in the space, thereby closing the gap. The installation utilizes print material, video, audio, and relies on the viewers to create connections through image and video capturing.

Casey Shea:

Casey Shea is an illustrator and painter who works as a designer in Toronto, Ontario. As a long-time fan of horror movies and comedy, his imaginative works are a mix of dark subject matter with surreal whimsical undertones. Drawing has been an outlet for Casey ever since a young age, and currently he takes inspiration from artists like Daniel Danger, Sam Wolfe Connelly, and Joao Ruas.

He will have prints for sale and will also do a live drawing at the event.

Sean Lewis:

Sean is an illustrator and visual artist based in Toronto Ontario, who takes interested in conservation and environmental causes. Sean currently teaches Life Drawing at OCADU and works in editorial, print, animation and books. On display at the event will be Takayama: a time lapse animation inspired by his time working on a vegetable farm in Takayama, Gunma, Japan. Originaly presented as an installation at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto for Nuit Blanche, we are excited for this piece to bring our space to life.
