Description

This presentation will introduce teachers to a simple narrative framework that helps students re-create stories by examining the ways in which writers and storytellers organize stories (fiction and nonfiction) to convey meaning. Explore how the “big ideas” in narrative function in relation to one another, and how thinking with these relationships can help students uncover layers of meaning in texts, respond critically during discussions and activities, and develop a foundation for deeper understanding of all stories, including the complex stories they will encounter throughout their lives, whether in digital, print-based, or oral storytelling forms.
