YORK REGION Singles Speed-Mixer (various age groups)

AN ALTERNATIVE TO SPEED DATING! This speed mixer will combine the elements of speed dating and also a social mixer. Bring your business cards as this is also an opportunity for networking and meeting new friends. It is better than speed dating as you are not obligated to sit and speak with all attendees!

We will have an icebreaker activity, a game and lots of time for mingling. Attendees will have 6 minutes to chat with anyone of their choice and at the sound of the bell will select another person to chat with.

No need to be nervous, just remember that everyone is in the same boat. Let's get off those apps and try something different! All within an atmosphere that has low volume music where you can hear each other speak! All you have to do is show up and just start talking to anyone even someone of the same gender. Come with an open mind. Every effort will be made to keep the gender ratio balanced, however no guarantees can be made.

The event takes place at a Nigerian eatery in Newmarket. Ticket includes a choice of a beer or pop, drink etc. Food is available for purchase.

Attendees are encouraged to initiate exchanging contacts at the event. If you want to be connected with someone but are not sure if they are interested, feel free to send us an email after the event we will try to play matchmaker after the event is over! Make sure to pay attention to attendees names and a way to identify them!

The event will start promptly so please arrive early to check-in and grab a name tag.

Tickets MAY be available at the door, please send an email or direct message to ask about availability at least 3 hours before the event.

This event requires a minimum number of each gender in order to take place. If the minimum is not met 2 days before the event, the event will be postponed or cancelled. please check you email (and email spam/junk folder) the day before the event.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds will be provided minus the eventbrite fee within 7 days of the event date. Alternatively, the ticket can be transferred to another person.
