The Ottawa Orchid Society (OOS) was founded in 1978 to promote and assist in every way the knowledge, appreciation, culture, study, development, improvement and conservation of orchids. Members come from all walks of life and are very happy to share their knowledge and experience.

We are a society that holds monthly meetings every third Sunday of each month, from September to May, where orchid growers, orchid enthusiasts, as well as beginners can come and discuss a variety of topics in relation to orchids and orchid growing.

Each meeting varies and can include lectures, demonstrations or hands-on workshops, as well as plants for sale and a raffle.
