Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO) is an initiative that brings together employers, immigrant agencies and stakeholders to enhance employers’ ability to access the talents of skilled immigrants in the Ottawa area. The initiative was launched in 2006 as a response to a growing need to identify and address barriers and challenges employers face in attracting, hiring and integrating skilled immigrants into the labour force.

HIO’s mandate is to increase the capacity of employers in the Ottawa region to more effectively attract, hire and integrate skilled immigrants into skills-appropriate positions.

Embauche Immigrants Ottawa (EIO) est une initiative qui réunit employeurs, agences d’immigrants et intervenants en vue d’augmenter la capacité des employeurs d’avoir accès aux talents d’immigrants qualifiés de la région d’Ottawa. L’initiative, qui a vu le jour en 2006, vise a répondre aux besoins grandissants d’identifier et d’éliminer les obstacles auxquels les employeurs font face quand vient le temps d’attirer, d’embaucher et de maintenir en poste des immigrants qualifiés dans la population active.

EIO a pour mandat d’augmenter la capacité des employeurs de la région d’Ottawa à attirer, embaucher et maintenir en poste de façon plus efficace des immigrants qualifiés dans des emplois qui correspondent à leurs compétences.
