The Cowichan Watershed Board is a partnership between the Cowichan Tribes First Nation and the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD). It was founded in 2010 as a non-regulatory group to provide leadership on goals laid out in the Cowichan Basin Water Management Plan (2007)

The Board is co-chaired by the Chief of Cowichan Tribes and the Chair of the CVRD with twelve other members appointed by the Co-Chairs representing the partners, other levels of government and community members with relevant expertise.
