Newfound Happy Hour Podcast started as a way to showcase cool people doing cool things in Newfoundland, and have normal people talk about their experiences. A topic that comes up a lot is dating and relationships, and we saw a need for a new way to meet other singles!

Spending over half of her twenties single, our host Sarah knows how hard it can be when the dating pool here seems small and saw an interest in a different way to meet people. These speed dating events will be a low pressure way to meet potential matches without having to sort through skeets on the apps or search the bars on George Street, in a series of 5 minute speed dates where you can ask important questions and get more of a vibe for who someone really is. Spending hours getting ready for and going on a date can sometimes be a let down when you don't click in the first few minutes, so meeting 10-30 people within a couple of hours may increase your chances of finding romance or friend!
