Health at Work Breakfast Series: Job Analysis for Psychosocial Risk

The CSA Standard on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace refers to "psychological demands" as one of the workplace factors that contributes to the mental health of employees. Therefore, a healthy and safe workplace includes devoting time and attention to assessing the psychological demands of a job on employees and ensuring that the employees hired are properly trained to handle, not just the physical, but the psychological demands. Job analysis is also important when modifying jobs to ensure a better fit for the employee. Dr. Fergal O'Hagan will present information and strategies that will help you analyze a job for psychological fit.
This session will be of particular interest to people in the fields of human resources, management and occupational health and safety.
