This years garden tour showcases a diverse array of gardens found in the charming villages and rural landscapes of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Participants are invited to explore, learn from the homeowners and experts and savour the beauty of eight exquisite gardens at their own pace.

Early Bird Ticket purchasers will receive a chance to win fabulous prizes if tickets purchased by April 30, 2024. One draw ballot per ticket purchased. Ballots are automatically entered in the draw.
Draw will take place first week of May 2024 and winners will be notified by email.

Tickets $25 until July 5, 2024

Tickets $30 on day of tour (July 6, 2024)

Children under 12 are free.

Proceeds from the event will be used to create two scholarships; one for a student attending Niagara College, School of Environmental and Horticultural Studies and one for a student attending Niagara Parks - School of Horticulture.

Frequently asked questions

How does the day tour work? Where do we start?

This is a self-guided tour. You can start at any of the eight gardens or our headquarters at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre . You will need to show your Eventbrite ticket to get a wristband and guide with the map of gardens. With your wristband, you can view the gardens in any order you wish.

Where can I park?

Parking details for the individual gardens are available in the guide so you can plan your route accordingly. There will be a link to download a pdf of the guide with the map on the website.

Can I buy tickets at the event?

We are encouraging people to buy tickets online. However, there will be an opportunity to buy tickets at each garden with cash only on the day of the tour . The cost on the day will be $30.

What if I have limited mobility?

Unfortunately, some parts of the garden may have uneven terrain and steps, making them challenging for people with limited mobility. Please email us in advance to discuss any accessibility concerns notlhortsocietygardentour@gmail.com

What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds but your donation will benefit local projects.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes suitable for outdoor terrain. Additionally, consider bringing a hat and sunscreen for sun protection.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! Children are welcome to come on the garden tour, but we ask that they are well supervised. Children 12 and under are FREE.

Can I bring my pet?

With the exception of service animals, we kindly request that pets remain outside the garden property or at home to ensure the comfort and safety of all tour visitors.

Can I take photos of the garden?

Of course! We encourage visitors to capture the beauty of the gardens. However, please be mindful of other visitors and the homeowner’s privacy.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

The garden tour will proceed rain or shine.

Will there be washrooms available?

Yes, there are public restroom facilities in the main parking areas in Niagara on the Lake, also there are washrooms available at our headquarters at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. Unfortunately, washrooms will not be available at homeowner gardens.

Is food or drink available for purchase?

Yes, light refreshments will be available for purchase at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre.
