OWA Pier One Perch Party

~ Shore Fishing, Lunch, and Meet & Greet ~

Join us on Mother's Day weekend for a day of shoreline perch fishing on Lake Simcoe. We will be fishing on private property in Brechin and the day will include lunch, a private meeting room, washroom facilities, free parking and coffee/tea/water all day.

This is also a license-free weekend!

  • Women only ~ 18 years of age and older ~ no children please.
  • NO membership or fishing license required.
  • Limited number of fishing rods to borrow.


Cost: $66 OWA Membership is NOT required.

Event Schedule

  • 8:00 am – Arrival - fishing and fun tournament begins
  • 10:30 am - Break includes muffins, pastries, coffee and tea
  • 1:30 pm - Tournament ends - results will be announced during lunch
  • 2:00 pm – Buffet lunch, banquet, raffles
  • 4:00 pm – Event over

Coffee, tea, water and fountain drinks included with meal. Paid bar.

  • Greek Pasta Salad - fusilli tossed with cucumber, tomato, peppers, onion, and feta cheese
  • Potato Salad - creamy mix of cheeses and green onions
  • Caesar Salad

Choice of Proteins

  • Hot Dip Roast Beef on a Bun
  • Vegetarian Patty on a Bun

Dessert

  • Assorted In-House Desserts


What to Bring:

  • Fishing rod (recommended light, medium-light or medium weight spinning rod, fast or extra-fast action rod with 4 or 6lb test fishing line)
  • OWA has a limited supply that can be borrowed. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to borrow a rod for the day.
  • Fishing tackle for perch or pan fish (jig heads, hooks, slip floats, small creature baits)
  • Bait in bait container – pinhead minnows or worms
  • Pliers or forceps
  • Lawn/Camp Chair
  • Cooler or container with ice to keep fish if you are planning to take some home
  • Snacks (coffee, tea and water provided throughout)

Dress according to weather conditions. Event is RAIN OR SHINE. Warm meeting area and indoor washrooms onsite.


FISH CLEANING NOT PROVIDED – Participants will be observing fishing regulations and are encouraged to practice selective harvest. Those wishing to keep fish will need to clean their own fish at home.
