Event description
Learn more about the Post-RN BScN in Nursing for International Educated Nurses at YorkU.

About this event

The International Educated Nurse(IEN) BScN program at York University has been developed in response to the need for Registered Nurses (RN) educated outside of Canada to meet the requirements to obtain the Canadian credentials for employment in Ontario.

The IEN Nursing program is intended for those with previous Nursing experience outside of Canada and allows students to build on the strengths they already have so they can more quickly obtain the Canadian credentials they need for employment in Ontario. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree in 20 months of concentrated and continuous six semesters. On completion of the program, students are qualified to write the NCLEX-RN.

To be eligible for admission into this program, applicants should have previous experience working as an RN in their home jurisdiction.

Join us to learn about the IEN Program at York University. This session will include a presentation followed by a Q&A covering:

  • Program details
  • Hands-on experiences including practicums
  • Student experience
  • Admission requirements

No previous Nursing experience? You may be interested in exploring our Direct Entry or 2nd Entry Nursing programs instead.
